Stage version of ‘Being Jewish Now’ coming to Palo Alto

The Braid is set to perform a theatrical version of Zibby Owens' bestselling "On Being Jewish Now" at Etz Chayim in Palo Alto on April 11. The adaptation is among the first theatrical works to explore the American Jewish experience in a post-Oct. 7 world and features Jewish writers, thinkers, and cultural voices sharing personal stories in a time of anti-Semitism. Schools in Los Altos, Mountain View and Palo Alto were among the 408 selected for the 2026 California Distinguished Schools Award. The award was determined using data from the 2025 California School Dashboard.
