Pear Jam guitarist Mike McCready has announced a multimedia project, Farewell to Seasons, a rock opera/graphic novel project he's been developing for 20 years. The project will tell the fictional tale of Seattle musician David Williams, who was central to the city's grunge scene in the early 1990s. McCready co-authored the story with comic writer Mark Sable and Argentinian artist Sebastián Píriz, and is set to release on Oct. 6. The graphic novel will be accompanied by a lost rock opera with original music written from the character's perspective. The soundtrack will also feature new and original songs created by McCready. It is unclear when or if the original music will be available on streaming services or if McCready will perform a live production of the opera.
