The National Weather Service has predicted that a cold front will move southward and stall across the south, resulting in scattered showers and lightning storms across the region. The weather will remain dry, with a westerly breeze expected to be gusty at times and lower humidity leading to elevated fire weather concerns. High pressure will gradually build over the are by the end of the week, leading to a return to mostly dry conditions and warm temperatures. The front will also bring strong winds and potentially repeat rainfall over some locations.
