Investigation takes in-depth look at Illinois' mental health courts

An investigation by the Illinois Answers Project is looking into the state's network of mental health courts, which aim to divert individuals facing criminal charges away from prison and into treatment. The investigation also revealed that only about half of the 6,000 people who have attended the courts have graduated from the program.
