Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick, a South Florida Democrat, for allegedly stealing $5 million in FEMA COVID-19 relief funds and using it for her campaign. The panel has found clear evidence that this is part of a political attack. Despite this, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has not yet commented on the recommendation. The vote comes amid a flurry of resignations from Congress amid mounting sexual misconduct allegations.
