Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) will attend a "No Kings" rally in Minneapolis this weekend following the Trump administration's massive immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis. Over 3,000 events across the country are planned for Saturday. The movement has previously protested against the administration's "authoritarian power grabs". The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) deployed thousands of federal agents to Minnesota as part of its largest enforcement operation, Operation Metro Surge. The governor has demanded an investigation into former DHS Secretary Kristi Noem for her handling of these operations and Democratic legislators are continuing withholding funding for the department until the administration agrees to several key reform demands to its immigration enforcement operations.
