Gilded Age UES Mansion Sells For $39.5M, Report Says

The most expensive home sold in all of Manhattan was a rare Beaux-Arts townhouse built in 1901 by John H. Duncan for financier Elias A. However, the mansion was initially listed for $65 million two years ago and sold for $34.5 million at a bankruptcy auction. The six-story townhouse has eight bedrooms, eight bathrooms, 10 fireplaces, and two underground levels.
