Natalie Cole and her late father, Nat King Cole, have partnered with the Natalie Cole Foundation to promote the ‘Transformative Power of Music’ through their charitable causes. The foundation has donated over $1 million in the last two years, funding scholarships and various charitable causes across the country and globally, including a community center in Costa Rica. Every dollar from Cole's estate earned through music royalties, SAG royalties, book royalties, and other avenues goes to the foundation's charitable causes, a unique arrangement in the music industry. Howard Grossman, CEO of the foundation, selects the charities and organizations chosen by a board of directors and his successor, Eduardo Pabellon, who was Natalie Cole's business manager from the late '80s until her death.
