Tigers' center fielder, Rick Meadows, has been successful in his key Spring Training games, with his best hit being a double to the center-field fence at Fenway South at 102.3 mph. Top prospect Kevin McGonigle is challenging for a spot on the Opening Day roster, which could move Javier Báez to center.
