The weather will be challenging daily record highs on Saturday, with temperatures expected to reach mid-90s and potentially exceed them once again. However, a cold front will arrive with much cooler air, bringing temperatures back to the normal for the day, with scattered scattered light showers/spotty storms possible. A statewide burn ban continues for North Carolina until further notice. The U.S. Seasonal Drought Outlook from April 16 through July 31 shows significant drought conditions over much of the region and the state.
