XRP, which has lost more than 20% of its value this year, is expected to rebound soon, according to an analyst from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) who sued Ripple Labs for offering unregistered securities via the sale of XRP tokens. This move was part of a broader crackdown on digital assets deemed as securities. However, a July 2023 ruling by Judge Analisa Torres stated that XRP’s programmatic sales on crypto exchanges couldn’t be considered a sale of securities. Despite this, XRP hit an all-time high of $3.65 on July 18, 2025.
