The Medina Youth Baseball Association and the Medina Girls Softball Association have donated $30,000 to make improvements to five ballfields within the city's parks. The improvements will include edging infield lifts, installing infield material, laser grading, reworking batter boxes, base plugs and pitching mounds. Additionally, the city approved a change in its provision to consider out of state law enforcement officers for the department's lateral transfer program.
