Ripple-linked XRP has been launched on Solana, making it available in the company's DeFi apps for the first time. The move aligns with a trend of tokens starting their lives on one another and being bridged to others to capture yield and liquidity. Each wXRP is backed 1:1 by native XRP held in segregated custody accounts. The launch is part of a broader rollout that also includes the use of the cross-chain messaging protocol.
