LHP Cody Bradford set for Rangers return after elbow surgery

Cody Bradford, a left-hander from the Texas Rangers, is set to make his first start for the team since the end of the 2024 season after undergoing elbow surgery. Bradford, who was part of the Rangers' only World Series title as a rookie in 2023, was part-of-the-Rangers' World Series win in 20th and was 4-3 with a 5.30 in 20 regular-season games. His return comes a day after the team ended a six-game losing streak and after the trade deadline passed without any new starting pitchers. The Rangers are also awaiting the season debut of Jordan Montgomery, another key player from the championship run who returned to Texas this spring while recovering from a second elbow reconstruction surgery.
