Paramount Pictures has secured North American and international distribution rights for "The Midnight Library," starring Florence Pugh and directed by Garth Davis. The film is set to be distributed in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Benelux, Australia, New Zealand, and Scandinavia and South Africa. It is estimated that the film is budgeted in the $70-million range and is significantly more than the $30 million reported in other outlets. The adaptation of Matt Haig's novel, which has sold 15 million copies worldwide and has been translated into 56 languages, will begin filming in early 2027. This marks the first acquisition for Lia Buman's team since joining Paramount from Tango.
