House Republicans ask Bill Gates and Leon Black to testify on Jeffrey Epstein ties

The House Oversight Committee has asked billionaires Bill Gates and Leon Black to testify before Congress about their past ties to Jeffrey Epstein. The committee is investigating the Epstein files as part of its investigation into the former financier's involvement. Gates recently revealed that he had affairs with two Russian women and apologized for his association with Epstein. Black, the co-founder of Apollo Global Management, paid Epstein $158 million for tax-planning and estate advisory services between 2012 and 2017, according to an outside law firm hired by Apollo. Black and his successor, Apollo CEO Marc Rowan, have been hit with a proposed shareholder class-action lawsuit accusing them of misleading investors about the firm's dealings with Epstein and their own personal relationship with Epstein, which they deny.
