The National Weather Service has warned of severe storms moving across Indiana later Tuesday, which could bring hail, heavy rain, flooding, damaging winds, and a chance of isolated tornadoes. These storms are expected to develop later in the day and move through the state into the evening. Forecasters predict that even one to two inches of rain could exacerbate existing flooding. The greatest severe storm risk stretches from northeastern Indiana to the Chicago area, including Fort Wayne and areas to the northwest. National Weather Services forecaster Mike Ryan said hail is one of the main concerns, with the larger the hail size, the faster it falls, potentially causing property damage and vehicle damage.
