A record-breaking temperatures are expected in Charlotte, North Carolina, with temperatures expected to reach the mid to upper 80s, surpassing the previous record set in 1976. However, a cold front approaching the west will arrive tomorrow morning with showers and thunderstorms, but this timing aligns well with the stability of the atmosphere in the morning hours, which will prevent severe weather threats. Once the rain clears, temperatures will reach the 50s for the Piedmont and upper 30s, leading to a significant drop in temperatures. The cold spell won't last long as Friday afternoon highs will reach back into the 60s with plenty of sunshine. The next rain chance is expected Sunday into Monday, with another cold front expected to drop temperatures back to winter levels by mid-November.
