Despite being overlooked for the supporting comedy actor list, Ford's performance in "Shrinking" has redefined what late-career acting can look like. The show, created by Bill Lawrence, Jason Segel and Brett Goldstein, debuted in 2023 and has since landed two nominations at the 75th ceremony. Ford earned his first-ever Emmy nom, becoming the second-oldest nominee in the category’s history, after Alan Arkin. However, he lost to Jeff Hiller from HBO Max's "Somebody Somewhere" in its final season.
