The annual Gettysburg Film Festival brings together history enthusiasts to learn about the American Revolution. The festival, which is also hosted by Ken Burns and Jeff Sahaara, offers a wide range of educational opportunities. The theme of the event is the Revolutionary Revolution, focusing on how the colonies united together during years of war and ultimately the Revolution. Mary Grace Kaufman, the media and communications director for Gettysburg History, explained that the festival wanted to explore history from a global perspective and from a local perspective. The event emphasizes making connections and understanding the humans behind every story in the books.
