Boeing’s dividend & stock split history explained

Boeing, the world's largest maker of commercial and military aircraft, has a history of dividend payments and stock splits. In the past decade, Boeing lost more money than it earned due to rising production costs, order cancellations, and suspended production and deliveries of its 737 MAX line of commercial aircraft. The company posted a record annual profit of $10.46 billion in 2018, but two years later, in 2020, it posted an annual loss of $11.9 billion. In March 2020, Boeing suspended dividend payments due to financial constraints and uncertainity over the impact of COVID-19. Despite this, Boeing has been paying dividends every year since 1942.
