Murakami’s slam sends A’s to 9-2 defeat

Munetaka Murakami hit his first career grand slam and the Chicago White Sox beat the Athletics 9-2 in a game in West Sacramento, California. The White Sox now lead the Major League Baseball team by two games. Despite a strong performance from Athletics starting pitcher Aaron Civale, Davis Martin and the White Sox, they had 15 hits and only one earned run. Murakamam's grand slam was the third of the season for the team. The Athletics plan to move to Las Vegas in 2028, with the team set to open play at a new ballpark on the Strip.
