Google's still struggling to crack PC gaming

Google is making incremental moves to improve its Google Play platform on the PC, with adding a Steam-like trial period of one hour, Game Trials, and adding more paid games. The company is also using an AI-like assistant named Sidekick to help users find games. Most of these games are free, ad-supported games with no need for a trial. However, the company is focusing on indie games like Dredge with both mobile and PC ports. Despite this, it appears Google will not be a strong contender in the PC gaming space. The question is whether Google management will view this as a platform like Chromebooks for cloud gaming.
