The director of Christian Nodal's music video "Un Vals" has responded to social media controversy over the casting of the video's lead model, Dagna Mata, who has been compared to both Cazzu and Ángela Aguilar. The controversy was caused by the resemblance of the singer's ex-partner and current wife. Director Juan Antonio Barbazán stated that it was a mistake not to anticipate this resemblance. He added that JG Music, the record label owned by the singer’s father, approved the video and that the casting was done by the production company. A representative for NODal and JG music confirmed that neither of them would make statements regarding the controversy.
