Browns GM Andrew Berry confirmed that the Browns are not planning to trade reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett, despite contract modifications. The changes were made following reports that the team had no plans to trade Garrett, who had a no-trade clause in his contract that prevents him from leaving the team. The Browns have been on the verge of contending, fielding a championship-caliber defense in 2025 and upgrading their offense this year. The revisions to Garrett's contract give the Browns cap flexibility and make him easier to trade, even though they're not moving him. Berry stated that he feels in a good position with Garrett and that they have an elite young defense and a rebuilt offensive line.
