Jon Christopher Blaylock, a 56-year-old inmate already serving life in prison in California for multiple attacks on corrections officers, is accused of attempting to stab another officer to death at California State Prison, Sacramento. The officer was treated for multiple puncture wounds and is in good condition at a hospital. An improvised weapon was found at the scene of the attack and authorities are investigating the attempted homicide as an attempted homicide.
