United Airlines has launched a mobile app that tracks TSA wait times for both security and PreCheck lanes for the first time in its history. The app will provide updates throughout the day, helping passengers plan their travel accordingly. The move comes as airline passengers experienced some of the highest security wait times in TSA's 25-year history, with some taking over four-and-a-half hours to clear checkpoints. This comes as lines decrease as Transportation Security Administration officers began receiving back pay for working during the government shutdown. The update also includes a bag-delivery-style bag tracker and automatic rebooking assistance. United's CEO, Scott Kirby, warned that ticket prices could increase by up to 20% if oil stays elevated amid the Iran war.
