Derrick White has been awarded the NBA's Sportsmanship Award for 2025-26, the same year that his former teammate, Jrue Holiday, won the award. Each team nominated one player for the award, a panel of executives selected one finalist from each of the six divisions and a player vote determined the winner. White beat out a group of finalists including former Boston big man Al Horford. He is expected to receive more accolades, including being nominated for the All-Defensive Team after ranking 13th in the league in terms of blocked shots and a career-high 88 steals.
