Elon Musk's SpaceX is planning to invest $55 billion in building a semiconductor manufacturing facility, Terafab, which will be jointly operated by Tesla and SpaceX. The facility would produce chips for robots, vehicles, and other uses to aid space travel. The first phase of the project will include a $55bn investment, with an estimated total capital investment of $119bn if all phases are built.
