Trump: U.S. could leave Iran 'right now' but staying longer so they can 'never rebuild'

President Donald Trump has stated that the United States could leave Iran "right now" but stay longer, leaving the country unable to rebuild its military capabilities for a decade. This is not "an acceptable situation," he said in a phone interview with MS Now's Stephanie Ruhle. The comments came after reports surfaced that the Pentagon is sending up to 2,500 more Marines to the Middle East from San Diego. The president also stated that he would not put boots on the ground in Iran and that the U.S. and Israel share "largely similar" goals for Iran.
