Sheinelle Jones, a TODAY co-host, revealed her personal experiences during a challenging year following the death of her husband of 17 years, Uche Ojeh, who died in 2025 at the age of 45 following a battle with brain cancer. She shared her experiences on the "Open Book with Jenna" podcast. She described herself as a "tough cookie" and said her mother instilled her tenacity at a young age and taught her to be tough. She also revealed that after her husband died, she took two days to grieve and honor the past version of herself.
