Home fragrance retailer Bath & Body Works has closed nearly 100 stores in the past year as it transitions from a mall mainstay to a brand with a wider variety of points of entry for shoppers. From Feb. 2025 to Jan. 2026, the retailer closed 62 U.S. stores and opened 94 new stores, with 30 locations closed and 74 opened internationally. The company's net sales decreased 0.2 percent in the year ending Jan.1919 compared to the previous year. As of Jan. 31, Bath& Body Works had 1,927 stores in America and 573 internationally. It is forecasted to decline between 4.5 and 2.5 percent in fiscal year 2026.
