Carolyn Kalagher's 6-month-old poodle, Sophie, was stolen from a stolen Bentley in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with Sophie still inside. The thief dumped Sophie onto the road and left her behind, prompting a neighbor to pull her out of harm's way and take Sophie to a veterinarian. The man recognized Sophie after seeing coverage on Local 10 and went to Kalagher’s home to inform her that Sophie was safe. The theft occurred around 2:45 p.m. on Monday afternoon in broad daylight and was last seen leaving the dog and the key fob in the car.
