The Academy Awards had only two musical performances, with singer-actor Miles Caton and songwriter Raphael Saadiq performing "I Lied to You" from "Sinners". Other performers included Misty Copeland, Eric Gales, Buddy Guy, and Christopher "Kingfish" in a tribute to the film's visual and musical style. The film "Kophenhen", which won the Oscar for best animated feature, was performed with a fusion of traditional Korean instrumentalists and dance by Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami.
