Nebraska Medicine, the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and Nebraska Medicine are planning to quarantine 17 passengers from the MV Hondius cruise ship affected by hantavirus on the ship. Experts are prepared to bring the passengers to the quarantine unit and monitor them for hantvirus. The passengers are expected to arrive at the Canary Islands on Sunday, but it's unclear when they will make their way to Omaha. The volunteers who volunteer their services are ensuring safe care for the passengers are well-trained and safe for the safety of the medical staff. All passengers are currently healthy, but they have no specific symptoms that would indicate they may have been infected with the virus.
