The Rewind: UAF skier Rosie Fordham wins 2 national titles, Brandon Pili re-signs with Super Bowl champs

The Rewind highlights several notable individual and team performances across Alaska at the high school and professional levels, including those from the University of Alaska Anchorage and Fairbanks ski teams. Australian skier Rosie Fordham won two national titles at the 2026 NCAA national ski championships, one of which she completed her collegiate career with a win in the women’s 20K freestyle title and another in the 7.5K classic race. While the UAA ski team had no national champions, several strong performers including senior Alpine skier Ella Bromee, junior Corbin Carpenter and sophomore Erling Bjornstad each earned All-American honors. The UAA track and field team also performed well in the indoor national championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The high school basketball postseason for the 1A and 2A levels ended with a close game between the 1 and 3A levels. The gymnastics team took part in their regular-season finale against William & Mary University Williamsburg.
