One of the six National Guard soldiers killed in a plane crash over Iraq was from the Wilmington area. The crash occurred as part of Operation Epic Fury and reportedly caused by a collision with another plane. The other six airmen were identified as Maj. John Klinner, 31, and Tech. Sgt. Ashley Pruitt, 34, from Kentucky, and 28, from Ohio.
