Robin Williams Had a Super Famous College Roommate With a Tragic Story

Comedian Robin Williams had a close friend, Christopher Reeve, during his time at the Juilliard School in 1973, who was also his roommate. Despite their differences, the pair bonded and stood by each other during times of need. They even made a pact that if they achieved success in acting, they would help each other financially. Reeves became Williams' godfather to his son and later became a prominent actor. After Reeve died, Williams dedicated his former roommate to him during his acceptance of the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes the year following Reeve's death, the year after the death of Reeves, the comedian.
