Former Congressman Eric Swalwell, known for his use of social media, is still using Snapchat as a means of private communication despite allegations of sexual misconduct. The New York Times reported that Swalwon communicated directly with a former intern this week and asked her about their chat history. At least six women have publicly or anonymously accused him of misconduct, including sexual assault, inappropriate workplace conduct, and unsolicited explicit communications. One of the allegations comes from a former staffer who worked closely with him while he was a member of Congress. She alleges that he began sending sexual comments and explicit images on the app, and also asked her to send nude photos of herself.
