Thailand's Prime Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, and Bhumjaithai Party are set to open the country's parliament amid scrutiny over election ballots. The Office of the Ombudsman has received 21 complaints from the public that barcodes and QR codes on the ballots could potentially identify which party or candidate a voter chose. The Election Commission has stated that the barcodes are for security and that identifying a voter would require access to the upper half of the ballots. Lawmakers are setto reconvene on Sunday to endorse a new house speaker and two deputy speakers.
