Biden FBI Probed GOP Members After Prosecutors Privately Called Allegation 'Completely Incredible'

Biden-era FBI officials initiated an investigation into Republican members of Congress in 2021, following allegations by then-Democratic New Jersey Rep. Mikie Sherrill that several Republican members assisted individuals or groups who organized the Capitol riot. The probe was launched based on Sherrill's claims that some members of the Congress led "reconnaissance" tours to map out the Capitol ahead of Jan. 6, 2021. The FBI's "Rampart Twelve" investigation also looked into allegations against Republican Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert, former Republican Alabama Rep. Mo Brooks, and Republican Reps. Paul Gosar and Andy Biggs of Arizona. Senate Judiciary Chair Chuck Grassley accused Democrats of ignoring these facts and evidence and defending the fired officials involved in Biden's lawfare.
