Model Courtney Stodden has publicly disclosed her diagnosis for Tourette’s syndrome, which she hid from public in an infamous 2011 interview with ABC News’ Lara Spencer. The disclosure was made after Stidden, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, revealed their tics, which included stuttering, eye squinting, mouth movements, and muscle tension. Stoddens stated that they hid their disorder from public exposure and are no longer ashamed about their diagnosis. They shared an Instagram clip of the interview with their caption, stating that they felt like they were being misunderstood for their behavior.
