The Hulu sequel series, The Testaments, has a major connection to Margaret Atwood's bestseller, The Handmaid's Tale. The series, which premiered three episodes, stars Elisabeth Moss as June Osborne, the Gilead universe’s heroine played by Moss. The creative team had to balance serving both fans and creating a new show that could separate itself from the book. The Testament is now streaming on Hulu. Despite the book's timeline jumping ahead four years, the series only jumps four years. The creators, Warren Littlefield, and Atwood, have expressed their hopes for at least three seasons to tell the next story.
