The supply crunch has caused Taiwan Semiconductor's production capability to become a significant bottleneck, with demand exceeding available capacity. This is affecting product development timelines of several companies, including NVIDIA (NPD), Samsung Electronics Co (OTC:SSNLF), Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA), and Taiwan's (TSM) industries. The industry is no longer dealing solely with rising costs due to supply constraints, but with the absence of adequate 3nm capacity, many companies are hesitant to commit to downstream orders. This has created an opportunity for Samsung Foundry, the only other player capable of producing 2nm chips, to secure orders from Tesla and Nvidia. TSM's shares are up 96.83% over the past 12 months and are closer to their 52-week highs than lows.
