Apple is set to release an iOS 18 update to fix vulnerabilities exploited by the DarkSword hack. This follows multiple updates to older versions of iOS, with Apple previously patching iOS 18 for devices that can't run iOS 26. However, devices compatible with iOS 26 have not yet been updated. The company has now enabled an update for more devices so users with auto-update enabled can automatically receive important security protections. This move comes after DarkSword was posted to GitHub, making the exploit more accessible.
