The Schuman family of eight, two of whom inherited polycystic kidney disease, have donated their kidneys to their sister, Susan. The family has done more living kidney donor transplants than any other in the UK, with 68 in 2011 alone. The generosity of these individuals is seen as a significant milestone in their lives.
