March 2026 was the hottest March in Denver history, surpassing the previous record by over a degree. The average temperature between highs and lows in Denver was 51.6 degrees, up from the usual 41.5 degrees. This year, the city hit 80 degrees or higher eight times in March, 70 or higher 14 times, and 60 or higher 23 times. The city also broke daily records for high temperatures six times. On the 25th of March, an all-time high temperature for the entire month of March was set at 87 degrees, breaking the previous records set this year. The warm weather caused several ski areas and resorts to shut down for the season earlier than usual and caused low snowpack levels to plummet. This spring is predicted to be one of the warmest in history with temperatures reaching 70 degrees.
