Jack Strand, a dark horse NFL Draft prospect from Bloomer, Wis., is considered a potential late-round pick in the Division II level. His coaches used a challenging environment in practice to challenge him, using the concept of constraint-led approach to motivate him. Strand set records over his 42-game career, including 13,161 career passing yards, 1,247 completions (against 50 interceptions) and 126 passing touchdowns. He also completed 64% of his pass attempts and rushed for nine TDs. If he is selected in the NFL Draft, he likely will be signed as a free agent. If successful, Strand would be the first player to be drafted since the seven-round format started in 1994. He has also had visits with the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons, while the Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears and New York Giants have shown interest.
