New NCAA replay rules have put the role of video experts in the spotlight during March Madness. The director of video, Rex Greabell, whose responsibilities have been expanded due to a new rule on coaches’ challenges passed last summer, allows teams to challenge rulings on out of bounds violations and possessions involving a foul. This has led to a dramatic turnaround in USC's first-round Women’s NCAA Tournament game against Clemson. The Trojans advanced, beating the No. 8 Tigers 71-67 before falling to South Carolina in Round 2. South Carolina's director of women's basketball video services, Hudson Jacobs, has been on staff for 15 years.
