Teddy Hemms, a 5-year-old boy from Cambridgeshire, England, was diagnosed with a brain tumor after a routine eye test revealed swelling behind his eyes. The boy was transferred to Addenbrooke's Hospital and underwent surgery to remove a mass behind his eye, but his family was told he had several more masses, which were cancerous. He was diagnosed as a grade 4 medulloblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor with MYCAPHAPH. The cancer had spread to his spine and spread to lesions in his brain. Despite recovering quickly, Teddy's brain ventricles filled with fluid and he had to get an emergency brain shunt. After a break from treatment in February and March 2026, he has now restarted his chemotherapy.
